About Me

I am a mother of 5 grown children, ages 40,38,34,31, and 31. Yep, the last were twins. I am also grandmother to 4 beautiful girls, ages 1,6,6, and 9. I am married to a wonderful, hard-working man for 34 yrs. he is my soul-mate. We live in Wild, Wonderful, west Virginia. I graduated Lumberport High School in Lumberport, WV at the age of 16. I was able to take summer school 11th grade English, and totally skip my 11th grade. Also with my birthday being in October, I just made the cut-off for starting 1st grade, which made me the youngest in my class to begin with.
I graduated as an LPN in 1984. I worked for many years in a couple of local nursing homes, a local doctor's office, and also Director Of nursing for a small nursing home before it closed down. I worked on my own taking Act-Pep , and Clep exams for college credit by studying at home to earn my Associates  Degree in Nursing many yrs ago through new York Regency College I developed fibromyalgia before finishing my degree , and soon realized I was not going to be able to work any longer and was never able to take the boards. So for many years now I have been a stay at home mom.
I enjoy learning new things, and quickly become obsessed with my newest interest of the moment. My grandmother taught me to crochet when I was probably 8 yrs old. I also taught myself to knit many yrs ago, and knit my first pair of socks two at a time this past winter. i also love to quilt and sew. I occasionally digitize machine embroidery designs.
My husband and I love to take the fifth wheel and travel, and basically just spending time together.
